TLC aims to use the all new Land Cruiser (300 Series) which was announced in June 2021 as the base vehicle with rally specifications to take on the 2023 Dakar Rally in the production car category.
After production has commenced for a new model, a specified number of vehicles must be produced before a vehicle can be entered into the production car category, so the all new Land Cruiser is set to debut in the 2023 Dakar Rally.
As a result, TLC's participation in the Dakar Rally with the Land Cruiser 200 series will be the last time in the 2022 Dakar Rally.
TLC first entered the Land Cruiser 200 series in 2009, so 2022 will mark its 14-year history in the Dakar Rally.
TLC has developed the Land Cruiser through rally activities, and over the years has made many improvements.
Also, the Land Cruiser 200 series has continuously been performing at the forefront of motorsports and has provided TLC many important hints about making ever better cars and has also grown the team.
It is with great appreciation that TLC will be taking on the 2022 Dakar Rally in the production car category, aiming for a 9th consecutive victory.
We humbly ask for the continued support of our many fans, as the much-loved Land Cruiser 200 series participates in its final Dakar Rally run.
For the all new Land Cruiser which will be taking up the baton from the Land Cruiser 200 series, we will of course be aiming for victories in the production car category, but we also have our sights set on the upper levels of the overall rankings as we develop the rally specifications vehicle.
