Colors and designs have been decided for the Land Cruiser 200 series, the base vehicle for the 2022 Dakar Rally.
Blue will be the main color for the vehicles entering the 2022 Dakar Rally, based on Toyota Auto Body’s corporate color. Car #1 will have silver and red accents, while car #2 will have black and white accents. The base design used for the previous rally is being carried over.
Further, we have four new partners: Toyo Tire Corporation; UCHIDA Corporation; NAGOYA TOYOPET Corporation; and FUJITA Corporation. The design represents more than 90 partners that support our rally vehicles and driving efforts.
In 2022, the Land Cruiser 200 series will be entering the Dakar Rally for the last time. It has been an impressive 14 years since the Land Cruiser 200 series debuted in the 2009 rally. The vehicle has been TLC’s partner and helped us grow, and so we will be taking on the 2022 rally with strong feelings of appreciation, and the message: Thank You for 14 years, LAND CRUISER 200.
We plan to unveil the new colors for the 2022 Dakar Rally competition vehicles in around mid-November.
The team is preparing to crown the Land Cruiser 200 series in a spectacular 9th consecutive victory in the production car category. We appreciate and humbly request everyone’s warm and ongoing support.
